Putting Together the Perfect Wedding Candy Buffet
Wedding candy buffets have become incredibly popular, especially with so many couples trying to DIY their special days to keep the wedding budget down. At Daisy-Days.com, we’ve been loving the look of wedding candy buffets and to help you capture that look on your special day, we’ve put together a quick and easy guide to putting together the perfect wedding candy buffet. Let’s get started.
First, you’re going to need:
Candy containers. You can use clear glass jars, bowls, decorative tins, baskets, glasses, servers…it’s all up to you! If you’re not sure which kind of container to go with, we highly recommend clear glass jars, bowls, and vases. They’re the best for showing off the bright colors of the candy.
Candy scoops. Stainless steel or chrome always looks best!
Candy labels. Attach a label onto the front of the container or use decorative tags or place cards to indicate what candy is inside each jar. Match the labels to your wedding color scheme or theme as an extra special touch.
Candy buffet favor boxes. Candy buffets are a great wedding favor idea and with Sweet Shoppe Candy Buffet Favor Boxes, your guests can take home a little something sweet with them at the end of the evening. Put a bag at each place setting or near the candy buffet table.
Display table. Choose something long enough to accomodate several types of candy, as well as your wedding guests.
Napkins. You never know when there might be a spill!
Candy. Dont’ forget the most important part! Choose candy that matches the colors of your wedding, or just go with some of you and your hubby-to-be’s favorite eats. Just exercise caution: chocolate items melt easily, so it’s usually best to go with harder candies or individually wrapped candies if you want to cut down on the stickiness factor.
Once you have your supplies, it’s time to set up the table. Put the table in an area of your reception space that has plenty of room. It’s likely that the candy buffet will become an area of conversation! Also, up against a wall is usually where most people choose to set up a buffet.
Once the table is set, it’s time to decorate it. Use decorative linens, table cloths, flowers, or other finds to add some dimension to the colorful display. Then, arrange the jars in a formation or on different tiers to make the table look interesting. Add the candies and scoops then label each jar. Once that’s finished, set up your candy buffet favor boxes and you’re ready to go! Voila! A delicious candy buffet.
